I have been a veterinarian at Coffs Harbour Veterinary Hospital since 1993 so I suppose I’m kind of part of the furniture by now. I absolutely love the team members, patients and clients we have here – all of you emulate our belief that pets are indeed family. I love seeing the amazing (and amazingly different) connections that develop between animals and people – the so-called human-animal bond. I also have a great desire to improve the level of animal wellbeing everywhere by expanding awareness of animal healthcare issues – especially maintaining “health” rather than simply treating disease as it develops. My particular interests lie in Dentistry and Dermatology since I see them as areas of pet care in which we can make major impacts on the health and happiness of many pets and their families, but I really enjoy all aspects of general practice – from vaccinating a family’s first puppy, to delivering a calf for a farmer, to repairing a badly broken leg in a dog that’s been run over. Outside the practice I am keen on outdoor activities such as mountain-biking, running and bushwalking as well as spending time with my 3 children, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses and 3 husbands (just joking – I do only have one of the latter!)
